Growth Hormone
Stunted growth is one
of the problems in the Philippines. In fact Philippines has the second highest
stunting in the Southeast Asia, and the top spot is the Indonesia.
Some Filipinos are
not contented with their heights because they’re stunted or small. They say
that having an afternoon nap or jumping in New Year’s Eve can affect our height
but that’s not TRUE. The GROWTH HORMONE is the responsible for this.
What is a growth hormone?
A growth hormone is
responsible for the development and normal growth of the cell and the major
target of this is the bone and skeletal muscle.
The primary function of this is to stimulate protein synthesis,
maintaining calcium levels, increasing blood sugar, promoting muscle growth,
and stimulating the immune system. It is
released in the bloodstream from the anterior pituitary gland. Growth hormone
natural levels vary during in the morning because of the physical activity. It
is special in the children because it promotes growth but in the adults it only
helps to maintain metabolism and maintain the normal body structure. So when
you are old don’t expect that your height will be increases because growth hormone production decreases as we getting
older.
With exercise and proper sleep, the endogenous GH levels can be maximized. With additional nutritional supplementation, natural growth hormone production can be increased and the mental and physical side effect of aging can be slowed, leading to a more productive lifestyle as we age.

It also has an important impact on human glucose metabolism. Growth
hormone also plays a part in the elevation of blood glucose concentrations.
Growth hormone also has a
big impact for the children have a kidney disease, because it can impair their
linear growth.
A
growth hormone also used to treat a growth hormone deficiency for the short
children, with the aim to achieve their final height. It is more effective when
they combined the higher Growth hormone doses, increased physiological
injection frequency and it will be started at the younger age.
The secretion of
growth hormone is regulated two hypothalamic hormones (a) growth
hormone-releasing hormone and (b) growth hormone-inhibiting hormone. This two
are usually release in diurnal stage, the highest level found about an hour
after we get asleep.
GROWTH HORMONE.. it is this great stuff! It
is the best drug for permanent muscle gains . . . it will make anybody grow . .
. GH use is the biggest gamble that an athlete can take, as the side effects
are irreversable.
if you have too much growth hormone can cause too much growth and it is called “Acromegally” It is caused by the growth hormone excess and the most commonly caused of this is the pituitary tumor, It can also cause an overgrowth of bones especially on the hand, feet, face an also on the skin is affected and it will become thick, hairy and coarse. The side effects of this include high blood pressure. Acromegally is more common after middle age when affected individuals have reached their maximum tall and their growth is complete

When you don’t have much growth hormone it can cause pituitary dwarfism. The individuals affected are short but they are normally proportional. This can be inherited or a result from a tumor injury.
Did you know that there are some nutrition helps boost natural growth hormone production?
First the protein it utilized by the growth hormones to build muscles.Along with sleep and exercise protein is needed to provide the essential amino acids necessary for GH synthesis.

Glutamine
It is in immune system
bolstering,it is aid in the intestine absorption, regulates muscle convertion to protein. L-Glutamine
has been shown to stimulate growth hormone release.
Choline
is a nutrient used for brain function, memory and preventing the Alzheimer's disease.

So that’s the growth hormone
all about. I hope that you’ve learn something. :)
